Our ACVO members are all very concerned about the global health and economic risks associated with COVID-19, and our thoughts are with those directly affected by this disease. Due to concerns of the health safety of clients, doctors, and employees in the pandemic, continued uncertainty of the course of the pandemic, and overextension of staff from increased caseloads due to limitations created by existing COVID-19 protocols, the members of ACVO feel it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel the 2021 ACVO/Epicur National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. The event will not be able to be rescheduled this calendar year.

ACVO is grateful to our members and sponsors who graciously donate their time and resources each year, ensuring the continuation of this event. As long as our veterinary ophthalmologists are able to volunteer their time and resources in the future, we hope to be able to host this event again in 2022. Plans for the next event should be announced in January, 2022.

Thank you to Epicur Pharma (a new division of Stokes), who has agreed to continue to support this program in 2022 and beyond. We thank them for their unwavering support of this philanthropic effort.

If you need to reach a veterinary ophthalmologist for general services or for an existing condition, please visit the www.ACVO.org website. More information about this program can be found at www.ACVOeyeexam.org.

We sincerely wish safety and good health to everyone during these uncertain times.

Warmest regards,

The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists
