Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS) is seeking a board certified Ophthalmologist to join our team. VSS is located in Manchester, MO (a suburb of St. Louis). We are the largest privately held specialty practice in the state and growing. Our facility is equipped with the most advanced technology to include on site: MRI, CT Scan, Idexx Laboratory, and a physical rehabilitation center. VSS offers seven specialty practice areas and each team is led by a board certified veterinary specialist in their respective fields (Radiology, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery and Critical Care). A highly trained team of technicians and support staff support the specialists. Our specialists are dedicated to excellent patient care and client service as well as teaching of residents in some specialty areas. We also have an after hours emergency center to care for patients 24 hours a day so that our specialists can enjoy weekends off.
We are looking to add an Ophthalmologist to join our specialty team who thrives on practicing “leading edge” medicine in a high volume practice. This would be a new specialty service for our practice. We are willing to invest in this service as the candidate seems appropriate to support the business opportunity and our clients needs. This is a great start up opportunity that will allow for an immediate referral base. We pride ourselves on team achievements and helping each other to provide the best care for the animal.
• Candidates should be board certified by the ACVO
• Candidates should be eligible for veterinary licensure in Missouri
• Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be interested in collaborating with colleagues within the hospital, as well as with referring veterinarians to help grow and ophthalmologist department
